The Danery

Your details

We are a family business, and we look after your details the way we'd want ours looked after.

What we keep

If you join our mailing list, we keep your email address, your first name if you give it, the date you joined, the words you agreed to when you signed up, and when you confirmed your address. If you email us, we keep your email and our reply, as anyone would. Our website host also keeps standard server logs, which include visitors' IP addresses, for security.

What we use it for

To tell you when The Danery opens, and to send the odd bit of news before then. Nothing else. We keep your details because you asked us to, and we never sell them or share them with anyone for their own use.

When you sign up we send one email asking you to confirm your address, so nobody can put you on the list without you knowing. If you don't confirm within 30 days, we delete your address. Every email we send has a link to take you off the list, which deletes your address straight away.

Who can see it

Only our family, who run The Danery and Danery Meadow Park across the road. The list is kept in the database that runs both businesses' websites, provided by Supabase, and our emails are sent by Resend. Both act for us under contract, and hold your address only to keep the list and send our emails.

How long we keep it

Until you take yourself off the list or ask us to, or until we stop using it. An address that's never confirmed is deleted after 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@thedanery.co.uk and we'll deal with it.

If you think we've handled your details badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies, and carries no advertising or tracking scripts. Its typefaces are served from the website itself, so loading them doesn't tell a font company about your visit.
